Transact Shop Floor Data.

Integrate Systems Seamlessly.

The Nysus Solutions ERP module facilitates communication from and to ERP/MRP systems. Typical transactions include: part master, bill of materials, demand, inventory levels, shipments, scrap, backflush (production reporting), and inventory movements.

Why MES to ERP Integration Matters

Most manufacturers have an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system — SAP, Oracle, Plex, QAD, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or another platform. The ERP knows what to build, what materials to order, what to ship, and what to invoice. What it does not know, in any useful detail, is what is actually happening on the shop floor right now: which unit is at which station, which fastener was torqued to what value, which lot of material went into which assembly, which operator built which unit, and which units shipped on which truck.

Without integration, that gap is bridged by paper, spreadsheets, manual data entry, and overnight batch jobs. Each one of those is a source of error and delay. Demand changes don't reach the line. Production results don't reach the ERP until the next day. Inventory drifts. Scrap goes unreported. Backflush is wrong. The OEM ships before the ASN does.

The Nysus Solutions MES-to-ERP module closes that gap with real-time, bidirectional, transaction-level integration. Demand changes flow to the line in seconds. Production results flow back to the ERP as units complete. Inventory consumption is captured at the moment of use, not next-day reconciliation. Scrap, rework, and quality data are accurate because they are captured at the source.

The left side details ERP functions such as Business & Sales Planning, Material Management, Finance & Costing, HR & Workforce. The right side highlights MES functions including Production Management, Shop Floor Execution, Quality Management, Maintenance Management, and Performance & Reporting. Arrows depict data exchange between ERP and MES, with real-time data collection from shop floor equipment like machines, HMI/SCADA, PLCs, barcode/RFID, sensors, and laboratories.

Standard Transactions Supported

Part Master Synchronization — Item master data (part numbers, descriptions, units of measure, costing, classifications) flows from ERP to MES — keeping the shop floor in sync with engineering and procurement.

Bill of Materials (BOM) — Multi-level BOMs with effectivity dates, alternate parts, and revision control. BOM changes in engineering flow to the line without manual republication.

Demand & Production Orders — Sales orders, production orders, and demand changes flow to the MES — driving station-by-station work content.

Inventory Levels & Movements — Bidirectional sync of on-hand quantities by location, plus event-by-event inventory movement reporting.

Backflush (Production Reporting) — Per-unit completion reporting back to ERP at the moment of completion — automatically consuming the BOM-driven raw material.

Scrap & Rework Reporting — Per-unit scrap, defect codes, and rework events reported to ERP for accurate inventory accounting and cost of quality reporting.

Shipments & ASN — Shipment confirmation and ASN generation back to ERP — keeping AR, AP, and customer fulfillment in sync.

Quality & Genealogy — Per-unit quality data, test results, and lot/serial genealogy posted back to ERP for warranty, recall, and customer reporting.

Labor & Resource Reporting — Operator login, station productive time, and machine utilization reported back to ERP for labor costing and OEE.

Why Chose Nysus Solutions?

ERP integration is one of the most common reasons MES projects fail. The MES vendor doesn't really know SAP. The SAP integrator doesn't really know MES. The customer ends up with a brittle middleware layer assembled by two consulting firms that don't speak the same language. Six months after go-live, nobody owns the integration — and when something breaks, both vendors point at each other.

Nysus owns the integration end-to-end. We have hands-on production experience with SAP, Oracle (including JD Edwards and EBS), Plex, QAD, Infor, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 — including the specific modules and IDocs and BAPIs and REST endpoints required for each. Our engineers have configured these integrations in actual production environments, not just in PowerPoint diagrams.

When the integration breaks at 2 AM — and integrations occasionally break — there is one phone number, one team, and one accountable engineer who can debug the message on the wire, the queue depth in the middleware, the field mapping in the configuration, and the resulting transaction in the MES. No vendor finger-pointing.

Our Differentiators

Real Production Experience — Actual deployed integrations against SAP, Oracle, Plex, QAD, Infor, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 — not just certified-partner status.

Bidirectional & Real-Time — Event-driven, transaction-level integration — not nightly file drops or hourly polling.

Standards-Based Interfaces — REST, SOAP, IDoc, BAPI, OData, JSON, XML, EDI, and direct database where appropriate — whatever the ERP supports best.

Persistent Message Queueing — Reliable delivery with guaranteed-once semantics — messages never lost on either side of the wire.

Engineered for Failover — Resilient to ERP outages, network outages, and middleware failures — MES continues to operate, transactions queue, and replay on recovery.

Single Team Across MES & ERP Side — One company responsible for the MES, the ERP integration, and the support — no finger-pointing.
