Why do you enjoy working at Nysus Solutions? Coming in as a co-op, I had a lot of learning to do and lots of questions, but I have never had a question turned down by anyone. The team is very willing to put in the time to help each other. Although projects can be assigned on an individual basis, working here feels very collaborative. We share in the success and turmoil, and that creates an environment of trust and growth.

Talk about a favorite project you’ve worked on at Nysus Solutions. Early in my first co-op, I had a task of making the navigational menu of our management software collapsible. It ended up being less difficult and quicker than I expected, but I had such fun developing it. Now, I am reminded of it almost every time I work in the management software.

About Jeff: I’m marrying my high school sweetheart Yaya this September (2023). We recently bought our first house in Perrysburg and became parents to our puppy Carmen – a stunning black golden doodle named after Carmen Ohio. In the past five seasons, we have missed only 3 OSU home games.

Favorite Sports Team: The Ohio State Buckeyes

Favorite Food: Traditional Chinese food, especially Yuxiang eggplant(鱼香). I could literally eat that every day, for every meal.

Talk about a positive experience you’ve had with the Nysus Solutions team: I am the winner of the inaugural Nysus Cornhole tournament and have the trophy to prove it! My favorite aspect of Nysus Solutions is that we work hard, but we also have fun! From beating everyone (and getting beat the next year) at cornhole, to programming a robot to throw the perfect cornhole, we are literally paid to have fun here.

How do you apply the Nysus Solutions Core Values (Be United/Be Passionate/Be Thankful) to your position? As someone who didn’t have the best grades in school, Nysus took a chance with hiring me as their co-op. Every day I show up to work grateful for the opportunity and a drive to prove them right. Right from the beginning, they entrusted me with real responsibilities that grew me into the engineer that I am today. I had doubts about my future in automation prior to coming to Nysus, my experience here has reignited my passion. I am excited to come to work to solve the next challenge every day.

About Anna: I am getting married in June of 2023. I have never had pets, but my fiance has a dog, Coco. They will both move in with me after the wedding. In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my parents and four siblings and with my fiance and his family, playing outdoor games like Kan Jam and volleyball, and exercising.

Favorite Sports Team: My family rarely watched sports while I was growing up, so I don’t really have one.

Favorite Food: Fettuccine Alfredo or other pasta with alfredo sauce.

Why do you enjoy working at Nysus Solution?  I have been able to participate in a variety of projects for different customers concerning different aspects of our software. I like being at a small company where everyone knows everyone, and the whole team was friendly and welcoming when I joined them. They care about their employees and were happy to accommodate my class schedule so I could work part-time while finishing school.

What do you like most about working within the manufacturing industry? I am a very visual person and I like helping people, so it is nice to know that I could walk into a plant and see the system I worked on being used to improve quality or provide a customer with a better way of doing something. It has also been interesting to learn about our customers and how they make their products, and I look forward to expanding my knowledge further.

About Robert: From growing up on a farm, showing horses at the county fair, assisting the BGSU Motorsports Teams from the Electric Falcon in the Formula Lightning series to E-85 go-karts, off-roading adventures with friends from power line trails to mud pits on two and four wheels, many projects at home that involve any mix of electronics, software and automation to the most important part of my life, raising a family. My life has centered around keeping the world moving and with the gifts I’ve been entrusted, engineering was a natural profession to follow; “…conscious always that my skill carries with it the obligation to serve humanity by making best use of the Earth’s precious wealth.” My wife and I with our daughter (and future kids) continue to blaze new trails as we grow together, we enjoy taking in the vast beauty of nature while going camping and exploring the outdoors together and with the rest of our family and from time to time I enjoy capturing those moments from behind a camera.

Favorite Sports Team: Whatever teams my kid(s), nieces and nephews are playing on.

Favorite Food:  Anything from a grill, preferably over charcoal or camp fire.
